The Virtual Rodeo Qualifier (VRQ) is offering a special promotion for the month of July for the upcoming Kimes Ranch Million Dollar Breakaway Roping, scheduled to take place November 24–30 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Throughout July, nomination fees for PRCA, UPRA, and IPRA rodeos will be set at $50 for single-round events and $100 for multi-round events. In addition to the discounted rates, these events will guarantee Division One points. Points are awarded using the Division 1 single-round point scale and are distributed to up to ten placings, starting from 10th place upward. Athletes do not need to place in the top ten or win prize money to receive points through VRQ participation. Athletes can nominate or register for the VRQ HERE.

Nominating means the Rodeo Logistics team will track your results so you can earn leaderboard points and qualify for events. You must be nominated before the official start time of the event. More information here.

For the first time, athletes can qualify directly for the Kimes Ranch Million Dollar Breakaway via the VRQ platform. The top 20 competitors on the Kimes VRQ Leaderboard at the end of the qualification period—running from April 2 through November 2, 2025—will earn a spot at the million-dollar event. They’ll join semifinalists from the First Chance Qualifier, Oklahoma’s Richest Qualifier, and the Last Chance Qualifier. No additional entry fees are required for athletes qualifying through VRQ.

The Kimes Ranch Million Dollar Breakaway made its debut in 2024, produced by Kimes Ranch Jeans and CN Productions. Celebrating western heritage while elevating the visibility of women in rodeo, the inaugural event was nationally televised on FOX Sports, both live and as a featured program on the FOX Network. Its successful launch established it as one of the sport’s premier breakaway roping showcases.

Athletes interested in nominating and competing through VRQ can visit HERE for complete details, rules, and registration. Each event using the VRQ remains subject to its own official ground rules as listed on the platform.

Since its launch in 2018, the VRQ has become the premier global points-based qualification system for top-tier rodeo events. It has played a central role in athlete qualification for major competitions such as Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo, the Women’s Rodeo World Championship, Rodeo Corpus Christi, Rodeo Carolina, and more. To date, the platform has awarded over $20 million in new money to rodeo athletes, revolutionizing access to elite competition and opening doors for competitors across the sport.
